Surcharge adds a flat or percentage fee on top of the transaction total when the customer pays by card. Unlike Dual Pricing, the fee structure is set by the ISO only — merchants cannot adjust it themselves.
Surcharging is only permitted in certain jurisdictions. Confirm compliance with local regulations before enabling Surcharge for a merchant.
Surcharge and Dual Pricing cannot both be enabled on the same merchant. Enabling one disables the other. If the merchant is currently using Dual Pricing, disable it before enabling Surcharge.
