# Add PAX Devices in Taliup HQ

> Register PAX terminals as Devices in Taliup HQ using the TID from PaxStore. Device registration is required before the first login on the terminal.

After creating terminals in PaxStore and noting each **TID**, register each terminal as a **Device** in Taliup HQ. Taliup POS uses the device TID to request the list of assigned users from Taliup HQ — device registration must be complete before staff log in on the terminal for the first time.

## How many device records do I need?

| Device | Device records to create |
| ---------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **PAX Elys** (L1400 + A3700) | Two — one for the L1400 (cashier terminal) and one for the A3700 (customer display) |
| **PAX A920 Pro**             | One — for the A920 Pro                                                              |

<Warning>
  For PAX Elys, both the L1400 and A3700 TIDs must be registered in Taliup HQ **before** opening Taliup POS on the L1400 for the first time. Logging in before device registration is complete will cause the login screen to show no users.
